Got a couple of CDs for Christmas which, had I owned them prior to the BARTS deadline, would definitely have been nominations for me:
Hugh Laurie - 'Let them talk'
The Black Keys - 'El Camino'
Both received their first listens this morning and I'm pretty impressed with both. The Hugh Laurie one has a live DVD too, which I haven't watched yet.
Black Keys is definitely on my list for 2012. I don't think Laurie's going to make it though...
ReplyDeleteI am a massive fan of Laurie - actor and comedian - but I've seen some of the promotional stuff for his album and would have to say I'd rather see Dave Lee Travis play McBeth than listen to a second of it. Blues schmues.
